Welcome - As Chair of the Senate Local Government Committee, I welcome you to the Committee’s webpage.

The Committee reviews bills that affect California’s communities: cities, counties, special districts, and redevelopment agencies.  The Committee also hears bills that shape land use planning and development.

It’s important to me that state legislators know how those proposed laws may affect the local agencies that serve you.  That’s why I invite your comments and advice.
